DJ Matt Varelas

Matt discovered his passion for music around the age of 7 playing the piano, and later the guitar. He first experienced the thrill of DJing for house parties in high school. He quickly discovered he had a knack for it. More than 20 years later he is still very much in love with spinning records and making people move. Some of Matt’s most recently attended event locations have included Tipsy Goat Estate – Rock Hill, SC, Childress Vineyards – Lexington, NC, Hilton Cancun – Cancun, Mexico, Omni Hotel – Charlotte, NC, Chickadee Hill Farms – Statesville,NC, Catawba Brewing – Charlotte, NC, and many more! As a technically minded individual, he is very much into programming lights specifically for each event; and he is alway up to speed on the latest DJ-related technology. He is also very much a fan of performing live remixes and mash-ups (when appropriate) and loves introducing new music to people.
